Cannon Beach Shopping
Cannon Beach has three distinct areas to find that perfect souvenir to take home as proof of some genuinely magical coastal adventures. Check them out below:
Downtown
The charmingly walkable downtown Cannon Beach entices rain or shine with a bloom of art galleries, boutiques, and curio stores set in shingle-style coastal cottages. Start at the iconic striped facade of Bruce’s Candy Kitchen, where from the windows, you can see saltwater taffy being made. Take your best buddy shopping at Four Paws on the Beach or Fetch Cannon Beach, both independently owned pet stores that offer a great selection of dog leashes and collars, food, treats, toys, and even sweaters for windy beach days. For coastal-themed gifts, décor, and other sundries, meander the downtown pathways that weave between shopping squares and colorful gardens, including Sandpiper Square, Village Centre, and Cannon Beach Mall.
Midtown
Majestic Haystack Rock takes center stage in midtown, with a stunning basalt backdrop as you navigate nearby shops and boutiques. Find all the spirits you need for mixing surfside cocktails at Cannon Beach Liquor Store. In addition to a robust selection of beer, wine, ciders, and seltzers, this locally owned shop has a curated collection of craft Oregon-distilled products and top-tier single malt Scotch that caters to enthusiasts. Textile artists and quilters will want to add Center Diamond to their itinerary, a longstanding fabric destination in business since 1994. If ocean waves are calling, look no further than Cleanline Surf, a full-service surf shop between Tolovana and midtown. Catering to experts and beginners of all ages, the shop carries the Northwest’s largest selection of surfboards and wetsuits.
Tolovana Area
Head to the south end of Cannon Beach to the pocket-size Tolovana Park, where you can stroll along the sweeping sandy shoreline at the 3-acre Tolovana Beach State Recreation Site. It’s often less busy than the areas near Haystack Rock but still a prime locale for beach activities. Stock up on groceries, wines, snacks, and grab-and-go meals at the family-run Surfcrest Market. Across the street at Fresh Foods Cannon Beach, the full-service grocery store focuses on organic, gourmet, and locally made goods. Find produce from local farmers during peak season and an extensive selection of Oregon wine and beers.
