Cannon Beach is home to some fantastic restaurants and breweries! Food and drink are necessary, but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring! Perhaps you’d like to tackle the North Coast Food Trail, where over 60 participating locations from Astoria to Neskowin offer the coast’s best cuisine. Beer enthusiasts will love the North Coast Craft Beer Trail. Get your passport at one of the 14 participating locations, get it stamped when you enjoy a brew at a pub like Public Coast Brewing here in Cannon Beach, and when you’ve completed the trail submit your passport to the Cannon Beach Information Center to receive a Beer Trail mug!

Go Whale Watching

If you come to Cannon Beach in the off-season, there’s a good chance you’ll spot gray whales in migration. They’re hard to miss when approximately 18,000 of them make their way up and down over 12,000 miles of coastline! Whale spring migration peaks from mid-March to mid-April, and winter migration peaks from mid-December to mid-January. Some optimal viewpoints include Ecola State Park or a cozy ocean-front hotel room.
